I would wash my toy poodle, Bear, and something always felt wrong. The shampoos were supposed to clean, but they left his curls looking dull and his skin feeling itchy. Nothing was designed to actually nourish his skin or hair. So, I went back to the beginning. I ordered dog dermatology and natural dog care books and learned about the unique pH of their coat. I started making my own concoctions in my kitchen, focusing on hydration and gentle science.
After the first wash with my own formula, I saw it. His curls were more defined and hydrated. Bear was less scratchy, too. That was the moment Furth began. Now, I'm working with some of the best veterinarians and animal dermatologists to bring that same feeling of nourished, healthy skin and hair to more dogs.
